1. First Army Experience Center Opens in Philadelphia

Drawing heavy demonstrations and protests from Veteran and peace groups, the Army’s “Virtual Army Experience” has had its challenges in its first two years canvassing the country; looking for young people to fill boots. But still eager to spend even more of your money on the concept of “War as Fiction”, the Army brings you a stationary recruiting tool that glares with the same flaws as its mobile sibling. But will the decision makers who feed the War machine with your tax dollars get the message before there is an Army Experience Center in your town? Learn more at CAMMMO.ORG

2. After war, teacher’s life unravels

Soldiers serving with Brian Norman knew he was a leader. Brian was a teacher. Brian was a soldier. Brian needed us. And Brian killed himself. War changes everything for everyone. But mostly for soldiers and their families. How can those who offered so much be given so little? How can our media have time for anything else? Does it not dawn on enough of us that a lot of them will be coming home very soon and will need a country that is unified in our recognition of their sacrifice? If you’ve ever been angered by a “Support the Troops” sticker on the same bumper as a GW Bush sticker, then see what else we want to say at CAMMMO.ORG

3. more unsafe conditions for ft bragg veterans

More footage emerges, from another concerned father of a Ft Bragg war veteran, showing unacceptable barracks conditions and maintenance. If our government can spend $14 B in tax dollars for 8 new submarines, during wars being fought in the mountains and desert, then can’t our returning war veterans have a reasonable quality of life while back home for a short period of time? Or will it take instance after instance of family members standing up for a largely silenced and voiceless group of enlisted men and women to force a change in what appears to be another standard operating procedure of troop mistreatment?
