The International Committee of the Red Cross has officially taken the stance that ethical violations were committed by medical professionals, described as doctors and psychologists, in aiding the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency to torture detainees suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. Most reasonable and attentive Americans have started to accept that Geneva Conventions were most likely violated at places like Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo. 2.Return of Free Media Marked with Fallen Hero’s Arrival
As the remains of U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Phillip Myers touched down at the U.S. Air Force Base in Dover, Delaware, more than 24 journalists awaited the arrival of such a flag-draped coffin to appear for the first time since the Bush royal family restricted Americans’ rights to free media under GHWB in 1991. And although video and commentary were still prohibited, the Obama reversal marked a significant step towards once again including U.S. citizens in knowing the full costs of illegal wars. The U.S. Army has made no secret about the fact that a down economy is always better for military recruitment. But as the numbers released on March 23rd, 2009, the sixth anniversary of the Iraq occupation inception show, military veterans are projected to fare worse than their civilian counterparts when re-entering the civilian workforce.
